Leading global technology and media companies in Asia Pacific, he recognised an opportunity to transform the entertainment landscape in emerging markets which were in many ways fragmented and inconsistent in infrastructure development and largely neglected by global influences and players. In 2014, he co-founded iflix to redefine entertainment for the next billion people.
Prior to founding iflix, Mark served as CEO of Nine Entertainment Co’s digital arm Mi9, where he was responsible for the company’s SVOD investments and portfolio of start up ventures.
Marc was named the Australian Financial Review Boss Magazine ‘Young Executive of the Year’ in 2014 and also AdNews’ 2012 ‘Top 40 under 40’.
Previously serving as Group Head of Propositions & Segment Marketing for Indosat Ooredoo (‘Indosat’) in Indonesia, he was instrumental in the company’s commercial success with outstanding revenue and market share growth. Prior to Indosat, Mr. Monteiro was part of the original start up team at Vodafone Qatar and served in senior Marketing and Sales capacities for over six years in the Middle East, where the company enjoyed tremendous success in gaining significant market in a short time.
Prior to joining iflix, John held strategy roles with Vodafone Qatar and Egypt, as well as Mobily, KSA.
He has a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism & Mass Communication with a specialization in Integrated Marketing Communication from the American University in Cairo with a minor in Economics.
He previously held senior roles leading product development and user experience at BSkyB and Onefootball, where he was awarded a number of awards for product design and innovation, including Apple’s Top 100 Apps of All Time, Apple’s Best iOS7 Apps 2013 and Royal Television Society Innovation Award.
Andy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Authoring and Design from the University of Coventry, and Post Graduate degree in Communication Studies from the University of Brighton.
Trained and qualified as a corporate lawyer at Allen & Overy LLP, Emily held positions as in-house counsel at 21st Century Fox and Sky prior to joining iflix.
She holds a Master of Arts in Law and Modern & Medieval Languages from the University of Cambridge.
Under his stewardship, iflix Originals hit several milestones including the platform’s best-ever performing series in both Magic Hour (Indonesia) and KL Gangster Underworld (Malaysia); a stand-up comedy roster that continues to push censorship boundaries; and a bold documentary about the 2018 Malaysian elections. Their continued success will see Originals output grow from an initial 40 hours in 2018, to more than 250 hours over 2019.
Mark previously served as VP of Commissioning and Regional Programming for National Geographic Partners in London. Prior to that, he was Head of Production for Fox Networks Group APAC & Middle East, and began his TV broadcasting career at Discovery Networks Asia Pacific.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Goldsmiths, University of London.
He most recently served as Executive Producer on the highly acclaimed campaign, Louder Together, for global phenomenon, non-profit organization, Global Citizen. As founder of one of Australia’s leading digital agencies, The White Agency (now whiteGREY), he additionally produced multiple award-winning campaigns for several Fortune 500 companies, including Commonwealth Bank and Tourism Australia.
Prior to iflix, he was a research associate in the biophysics department at King’s College London University and lead data scientist at The Walt Disney Company in business intelligence International team.
Bruno currently leads iflix’s data engineering, business intelligence, insight and data science groups, delivering reporting, insights and science solutions across the different functions.
Bruno holds a PhD in protein engineering from the Paris Medicine School, Descartes and an Executive Masters in Strategy and Management of Health Industries from ESSEC Business School.
Prior to iflix, Kjetil was Head of Engineering in the application development division of Knowit, the leading communication and technology provider in the Nordic region before moving to Vimond Media Solutions to spearhead the iflix project.
Prior to joining iflix, Sam had 15 years experience working in Head of international Tax and Global Transfer Pricing roles for a number of well-known multinationals, as well as a Big 4 advisor in Sweden, US, UK, Luxembourg and Mexico.
Sam is a frequent speaker and panellist at global tax and transfer pricing conferences.
Prior to joining iflix, Jon worked in consulting for 7 years in the UK and Asia on a number of high profile IT programmes for well-known multinational organizations.
Prior to joining iflix she was a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and Claris Consulting, a strategic planning and business development manager for Novartis and Big C Supercenter before co-founding a start-up to offer ad-sponsored free calls. She joined iflix in early 2015 as Country Manager of iflix Thailand.
Prior to iflix, after a stint at IBM, Sherwin built a career leading a number of startup companies geared towards changing consumer behavior in both the trade and entertainment industries.
Sherwin graduated with a degree in Communications Technology Management from Ateneo De Manila University.
He has also served as the Country Marketing Manager of Coca-Cola Bangladesh for 2 years and prior to joining iflix, he was the Country Manager of Yonder Music Bangladesh.
Cam started his career with STAR TV in Hong Kong in 1992, and this led to his first posting in Indonesia in 1994. In addition to his work with iflix and FOX, Cam also worked with ESPN Asia, Indonesia’s Emtek Group and First Media/Linknet.
