Question: What do you get when you cross iflix with one of the biggest multimedia companies in the Philippines?
Answer: A deal set to redefine the entertainment landscape with a line up of 30 new movies and 9 new TV series, in addition to more than 9000 hours of premium local Filipino programming, available to everyone in the Philippines, for FREE.
iflix welcomed Viva Communications to the family with a kick-off party worthy of the VIPs and celebrities that attended the coveted affair at Common Ground BGC. Here’s what you may have missed:
The evening’s festivities opened with host Sam YG (who is also the host of Hot Ones Philippines on iflix) jumping onto the stage to welcome everyone.
Sherwin dela Cruz, iflix Philippines Country Manager gave guests an exclusive sneak peek into iflix’s top projects (including Mystified and Hoy! Bibig Mo) before serial entrepreneur (and iflix Chairman) Patrick Grove took to the stage to announce the landmark partnership that will bring new original productions (we’re talking 30 movies and 9 series) and Viva’s top local movies, TV series and live concerts, as well as Hollywood blockbusters and K-Dramas (dubbed in Filipino) to iflix – for everyone to enjoy for FREE!
When he took to the stage, Viva Communications’ COO and President Vincent del Rosario echoed Patrick Grove’s enthusiasm, saying that the Viva team is looking forward to working with iflix on delivering quality Filipino content and showcasing local talent to its users – both locally and abroad.
To launch the celebrations, iflix Co-Founder and Group CEO, Mark Britt, led the toast to the partnership.
The formal activities ended on a high note with a special performance by multi-talented actor and singer Matteo Guidicelli, in one of his first public performances since completing scout ranger training.
