The Lowdown

Oh, hi there! Thanks for popping by to quite possibly the least entertaining part of the iflix service. While other parts of iflix seek to dazzle and amaze, these Terms of Use are how we govern your use of the iflix service, and that means that, in a blow to those with short attention spans everywhere, they have to be long and quite boring. That also means we either have a lot to say or a large backside to cover. Your call. Those who are visiting us by way of random Google search, or have tripped and landed on this page, pick yourself off the floor and listen up. We’re a really cool subscription video service that gives our members access to lots of great movies, TV, you name it (“movies & TV shows”). We’re streamed over the Internet to Internet- connected TVs, computers and other devices (“iflix-approved devices”). We also bake on weekends. And we are a Gemini with a preference for long walks on the beach, in case you were wondering.

Also In case you’re wondering, “iflix service,” “our service” or “the service” means the amazing iflix service can be used to discover (and actually watch!) movies & TV shows, including all other bits and bobs, features and functionalities, website, and user interfaces, plus all content and software associated with our service.

Now that that’s all clear, let’s play!

1.  Accepting Our Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”), which include our tremendous Privacy Policy, fabulous End User License Agreement (“EULA”) will govern your use of iflix and will form a legally binding agreement between you and us. By using, visiting, or browsing the iflix service, you accept and agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these Terms of Use, do not use the iflix service, do not pass go and unless it’s to take a good hard look at yourself.

Your access to and use of iflix service (“Services”) is also subject to our Privacy Policy, the terms of which can be found directly on the Services or on your mobile device’s applicable app store.

If you access or use the iflix service from within a jurisdiction for which there are separate supplemental terms, you also hereby agree to the supplemental terms applicable to users in each jurisdiction as outlined below, and in the event of a conflict between the provisions of the SUPPLEMENTAL TERMS – JURISDICTION-SPECIFIC that are relevant to your jurisdiction from which you access or use the Services, and the rest of these Terms, the relevant jurisdictions’ SUPPLEMENTAL TERMS – JURISDICTION-SPECIFIC will supersede and control. If you do not agree to these of Use, you must not access or use our Services.

The iflix service is provided by Image Future Malaysia SDN. BHD., or one of its affiliated companies (“iflix”).

2.  Us Changing Our Terms of Use

Like most people, we like to shake it up sometimes. What this means for you is we may at our discretion make changes to our appearance or the iflix Terms of Use, including the Privacy Policy, EULA and Social Terms. When we REALLY shake things up, we’ll use commercially reasonable efforts to generally notify you of any material changes to these Terms, such as through a notice on iflix service, however, you should look at the Terms regularly to review the most up-to-date version and to check for such changes. All our changes are effective immediately; so by continuing to love us and use us after those changes are made, you are expressing and acknowledging your acceptance of the changes, so we thank you in advance.


3.  Getting In Touch

Just by using iflix, you are cool with receiving electronic communications from us relating to your account. We might get in touch by sending emails to your email address (which we have because you gave it to us during sign-up), but not emails to your house address because that doesn’t work very often, or posting communications on the iflix service, or the “Settings” page, stamps not included, and will include notices about your account (e.g., payment authorizations, change in password or Payment Method, confirmation e- mails and other transactional information) and are part of your relationship with iflix. We see your relationship with iflix as like holding a bird. We want to hold it just tight enough that it doesn’t fly away, but not so tight that we damage it. You agree that any notices, agreements, disclosures or other communications that we send to you electronically will satisfy any legal communication requirements and are fine even if not void of spelling errors, including that such communications be in writing. You should maintain copies of electronic communications by printing a paper copy or saving an electronic copy. We suggest the latter as we are pro tree. You are also cool with us getting in touch on certain other matters, such as newsletters about new iflix features and content, special offers, promotional announcements and customer surveys via email or other methods. If you no longer want to receive certain non-transactional communications, MAKE US STOP! Simply click the “unsubscribe” link in any of the emails you’d like to unsubscribe to. Please review our Privacy Policy for further detail on our marketing communications.


4.  Privacy Stuff

Information that identifies you as YOU is subject to our Privacy Policy, the terms of which are incorporated herein. Please read through our Privacy Policy to understand our practices – like veggies they’re good for you. Please read the news every day, too. It’s a big world out there people, and it pays to be informed.


5.  Member’s Corner and Payment

5.1 Membership

Ongoing Membership. You must have internet access and provide iflix with a current, valid, accepted method of payment (as may be updated from time to time, “Payment Method”) to use the iflix service. If you choose a monthly membership, your iflix membership will continue in effect on a period-to-period basis unless and until you cancel your membership or we terminate it, Arnold. We will bill the membership fee to your Payment Method every 31 days. You must cancel your membership before it renews every 31 days in order to avoid billing of the next period’s membership fees to your Payment Method. #obvi. If you choose an annual membership, your membership will end at the end of the current 365-day period unless you make another payment through a Payment Method before the end of the current period.  If you have signed up for the Services via a third party, you may need to terminate through that third party (for example, if you have subscribed through an in-app store payment method). The method of terminating your service varies by provider, such as switching off ‘auto-renew’ in your third party account settings. Should iflix not receive a payment before the end of the current period, your membership will end at the end of the current period and will only resume once you make a payment through a Payment Method. In this case, your next period will begin on the day iflix receives payment through the Payment Method, not 28 days later in accordance with nature.


  1. Differing Memberships. We may offer a number of membership plans, including special promotional plans or memberships with differing conditions and limitations. We reserve the right to call the membership plan whatever we want and you have the option to subscribe to the “Emperor of the Seven Seas” plan when it is available. You can find specific details regarding your membership with iflix by visiting our website and clicking on the “Setting” page. Some promotional memberships are offered by third parties in conjunction with the provision of their own products and services. We are not responsible for the products and services provided by such third parties, but if they are awesome we don’t mind some credit. We reserve the right to modify, terminate or otherwise amend our offered membership plans. We also reserve the right to randomly begin


5.2   Trial Membership

Once in a while, we may offer trials for a certain period without payment (“Trial Membership”). We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to confirm if you’re suitable for a Trial Membership. We may also withdraw or to modify a Trial Membership at any time without notice to you and with no liability to the widest extent permitted under Local Country Law. If we feel you’re abusing our awesome trial or promotional offer, we may at our discretion decide to charge for them based on the standard fee for in your country. So, don’t abuse it and all will be well.

You may choose to begin subscription to a monthly or annual membership before your Trial Membership expires. In this case, your monthly or annual membership will begin when you make a payment, and you agree to forgo the remaining period of your Trial Membership. You may also choose to begin subscription to a monthly or annual membership precisely when, or after your Trial Membership expires. Your monthly or annual membership will still begin when you make a payment. To view the specific details of your membership, including monthly or annual membership price and end date of your Trial Membership period, visit the “Settings” page. We may authorize your Payment Method through various methods (although we usually don’t), including authorizing it up to approximately one month of service as soon as you register. In short, no money, no honey.


5.3   Billing

  1. Recurring Billing. By starting your monthly membership and providing or designating a Payment Method, you authorize us to charge you a periodic membership fee at the then current rate of your selected membership, and any other charges you may incur in connection with your use of the iflix service to your Payment Method. We will not be permitted to buy gifts for friends using your Payment Method. We may discuss you buying us coffee. You acknowledge that the amount billed for each billing period may vary from period to period for reasons that may include differing amounts due to promotional offers, including promotional code redemption, and/or changing or adding a plan, and you authorize us to charge your Payment Method for such varying amounts, which may be billed per billing period in one or more
  2. Price Changes. We reserve the right to adjust pricing for our service or any components thereof in any manner and at any time as we may determine in our sole and absolute discretion. We may change the plans we offer for subscribing to the Services or extra fee for advanced access to certain content, or adjust the pricing of the same, at any time and in any manner we determine. Any changes to charges or your subscription, including notifications of the same, will take effect in accordance with these Terms. As a paid member, you may be able to pay an extra fee on top of your subscription to get advanced access to certain episode(s) of certain content. Such advanced access plan may have certain conditions and limitations, which will be disclosed to you through the Service for the confirmation of the extra fee payment or in other communications made available to you. Except as otherwise expressly provided for in these Terms of Use, any price changes to your service will take effect following notice to you by iflix. We will tell you first, don’t
  3. Billing Cycle. The membership fee for our service will be billed at the beginning of the paying portion of your membership and each period (the period may vary depending on your membership plan) thereafter unless and until you cancel your membership. And if you do, we won’t bill you anymore. Cos that’s how it works. We automatically bill your Payment Method every 31 days. Membership fees are fully earned upon payment, which is kinda a legal thing, kinda an accounting thing, and 100% boring. We reserve the right to change the timing of our billing, in particular, as indicated below, if your Payment Method has not successfully settled. Visit our website and click on the “Settings” page to see the expiry date for your current period. We may authorize or notify you of your Payment

Method in anticipation of membership or service-related charges. As used in these Terms of Use, “billing” shall indicate a charge, debit or other payment clearance, as applicable, against your Payment Method. Unless otherwise stated differently, period or periodically refers to your billing cycle.

  1. No Refunds. Payments are nonrefundable and iflix does not commit to provide refunds or credits for any reason, including partially used periods. We may from time to time, at our sole and absolute discretion, elect to offer you or any other subscriber a refund, discount or other credit in relation to the services.
  2. Cancellation. Whilst we are sure it is likely to be a source of great regret, feel free to feel free and you can cancel your iflix membership at any time. If you regrettably cancel, you’ll still be able to watch our incredible content on iflix until the end of your billing period (See! We’re really not that mean!) We don’t provide refunds or credits for any unused partial month membership periods, unwatched movies or TV shows. If you have subscribed to a monthly membership, you will need to cancel your membership on the “Settings” page of our website. If you have subscribed to an annual membership, simply wait for your membership period to expire, like watching paint dry, only with better actors. If you cancel your membership, your account will SHUT DOWN at the end of your current billing period and you won’t be able to access our content anymore. To see when your membership plan will expire, visit the “Settings” page. If you signed up for iflix using your account with one of our special third party partners as a Payment Method, and want to cancel your iflix membership, you might need to cancel via them, including by visiting your account with that third party and turning off any auto- renew, or unsubscribing from, iflix. If you need to check on any billing information, visit your account with the applicable third party and then… LET’S


6. iflix!

This is the part where, if you’re a minor, you won’t be too happy about. You must be 18 years old and above, or the legal governing age as decided in your province, territory or country, to become a member of iflix.

Individuals under the age of 18, or applicable age of majority, may access iflix only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian, under that person’s account and otherwise subject to these Terms of Use. You also must be this high to ride this entertainment pony. By installing iflix, you agree to play by our rules and for us to process your information for the purpose of account creation. Data charges may apply.

iflix, and anything viewed on it, is for your personal (and very non-commercial) enjoyment/use only. So long as you’re a member of iflix, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, license to access iflix and view movies and TV shows through the service on a streaming-only basis, or where applicable under these Terms of Use, a limited download for that purpose. Other than this limited license, no right, title or interest shall be transferred to you. You agree not to use the service for public performances or for any commercial or business purposes, So, you may juggle in front of friends and fans with your iflix enabled mobile device, but that device can’t be playing iflix content while you do it. Capisce?

You can watch a movie or TV show on iflix if we are available in the country in which you’ve registered your account and if we’ve licensed the rights to distribute our content in that country. But that’s super complicated stuff, so we won’t bore you with it. Like food you consume, the content that may be available to watch will vary by geographic location. We will use our top-secret technologies to verify your geographic location, just like in the movies. We authorize you to access content on up to five (5) approved, registered devices and to stream content to two (2) approved, registered devices at any time for personal, non- commercial purposes. The number of devices available for use and the simultaneous streams may change from time to time at our discretion, but we think 5 and 2, like the diet, is pretty effective.

In some cases, for super-special movies or TV shows, we may at our sole discretion provide you with a time- bound license that allows you to download, temporarily store and access one or more content titles on one (1) approved, registered device for personal, non-commercial purposes for certain days as set out in the Service. After the seven- day period has lapsed, you will no longer be able to access the content offline. Oh no! But wait! To access

the content offline, you will need to download the content from the iflix service again. Oh yes! You acknowledge that if during such downloaded period (a) you stop using iflix; (b) the distributor from whom iflix licenses the content requires iflix to withdraw the content (meaning we can’t stream it anymore); you may not be able to continue to access some of the content downloaded as it may self destruct, and, to the full extent permitted by law, in that event iflix will not have any liability to you.

Because we are so hip and happening, we do make it a point to always add stuff into the iflix service, including the content library. We totally understand your insatiable appetite for fresh meat/things to watch. On top of that, we continually test different aspects of our service, including our website, user interfaces, service levels, plans, promotional features, availability of content, delivery and pricing. Sometimes these tests are in the form of written examination and often, in multiple answer format. Sometimes we just poke them to see what happens. We reserve the right to, and by using our service you agree that we may, include you in or exclude you from these tests without notice. Please don’t be alarmed if you suddenly get poked. That’s just us doing random testing’s. With that said, we can 100% confirm that there will be no animal testing. We reserve the right in our sole and absolute discretion to make changes from time to time and without notice in how we offer and operate our service.

Here’s more stuff that you will agree to even though you haven’t read it. In accordance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations, taboos, or other restrictions on use of the service or content therein, you hereby agree to use iflix, including all features and functionalities associated with the service in totality. You agree not to archive, download (other than through caching necessary for personal use), reproduce, distribute, modify, display, perform, publish, license, create derivative works from, offer for sale, or use (except as explicitly authorized in these Terms of Use) content and information contained on or obtained from or through the iflix service without express written permission from iflix and its licensors. You also agree not to: circumvent, remove, alter, deactivate, degrade or thwart any of the content protections in the iflix service; use any robot, spider, scraper or other automated means to access the iflix service; decompile, reverse engineer, forward engineer or disassemble any software or other products or processes accessible through the iflix service; insert any code or product or manipulate the content of the iflix service in any way; or, use any data mining, data gathering or extraction method. In addition, you agree not to upload, post, e-mail or otherwise send or transmit any material designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment associated with the iflix service, including any software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs. You also agree not to provide your password to any other person or use any other person’s username and password. You also agree not to incorporate the Service or any portion thereof into any other program or product. In such case, we reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts or limit access to the Services in our sole discretion. You also agree not to intimidate or harass another, or promote sexually explicit material, violence or discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age, or use the iflix service in a manner that may create a conflict of interest or undermine the purposes of the Services, such as trading reviews with other users or writing or soliciting shill review. We reserve the right, at any time and without prior notice, to remove or disable access to content at our discretion for any reason or no reason.

The awesomeness that is our content will change from time to time, and from country to country. Some will be good and you will enjoy them. Some will not. The quality of the display of the streaming content may vary from PC to PC or device to device (depending on where you’re streaming iflix from!), and may be affected by a bunch of factors, such as your location, the bandwidth available and/or speed of your Internet connection. HD availability is subject to your Internet service and device capabilities. Not all content is available in HD. A download speed of at least 5.0 Mbps per stream is recommended to receive HD content, which is defined as 720p or better. That would be really awesome and your Internet connection would have to be really fast. You are solely responsible for all Internet access charges, where applicable. Please check with your Internet provider for information on possible Internet data usage charges. iflix will not be held accountable or hold any promises (pinky swears included) for the quality of your watching experience on your display. The time it takes to begin watching a piece of content will vary based on a number of factors, including your location, available bandwidth at the time, the content you have selected, the configuration of your iflix -approved device and how nice you are to your device. You are responsible for any mobile charges that may apply to your use of our service, including text-messaging and data charges. if you’re unsure what those charges may be, you should ask your service provider before using the service. We try to give compliments to our machines at least once a day here at iflix. It works, REALLY.

The streaming software that we use is developed in a top-secret facility by parties that will not be named and is designed to enable streaming of content from iflix through iflix-approved devices. Everything from the software to functionalities may vary by device and medium. Meaning, nothing will totally, 100% look similar across the different users. By using iflix, you acknowledge and agree to the End User License Agreement and to receive, without further notice or prompting, updated versions of iflix and related third- party software. If you do not accept the foregoing terms, do not use our service. Or just accept them and use it. We do not take responsibility or otherwise warrant the performance of these devices, including the continuing compatibility of the device with our service. This is something you’ll need to take up with your device provider. By using our service, you agree to only bug the entity that manufactured and/or sold you the device for any issues related to the device and its compatibility with the iflix service. If your iflix-approved device is sold, lost or stolen (sorry to hear that), please call the police, tell your friends to re-add you on your instant messenger of choice and deactivate the iflix-approved device. If you fail to log out of your device, subsequent users may access and take advantage of the iflix service through your account and may be able to access certain of your account information or see just how many romantic movies you watched last weekend. Yup, no questions asked.

These very legal sounding documents were created for a reason. So please take note that we may terminate or restrict your use of our service, without compensation or notice if you are, or if we suspect that you are (i) in violation of any of these Terms of Use or (ii) engaged in illegal or improper use of the service. But we really don’t like to do so, so please, play nice, okay?

If you are fearful for the innocence of your younger family members, particularly when it comes to stuff they watch on iflix, you may limit the maturity level of content titles viewable (e.g. available for their children) with our Parental Control feature, which is accessible from the “Settings” page on the iflix website. We take no responsibility for members’ maturity levels in general.


7. Accessing And Controlling Your Account

The Account Owner AKA the person footing the bill (whose Payment Method is charged) AKA the member who created the iflix account has access and control over the iflix account… OBVIOUSLY. The way said Account Owner controls the account is exercised through use of the Account Owner’s mighty password and therefore to maintain exclusive control, the Account Owner should not reveal the password to anyone, not even your BFFs. In addition, if the Account Owner wishes to prohibit others from contacting iflix and potentially altering the Account Owner’s control, the Account Owner should not reveal their email address associated with their account, even if it might be easy to guess. You are responsible for updating and maintaining the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth and accuracy of the information you provide to us relating to your account.

Identity theft is a real thing. So you should be mindful of any communication requesting that you submit credit card or other account information. If you’re not sure, get in touch and we’ll tell you if it’s legit or not. Providing your information in response to these types of communications can result in identity theft and has been sometimes called “Phishing”, in what is a decidedly cool sounding name for a decidedly dastardly practice. Always access your sensitive account information by going directly to the iflix website and not through a hyperlink in an email or any other electronic communication, even if it looks official. iflix reserves the right to self-defense and place any account on hold anytime with or without notification to the member in order to protect itself and its partners from what it believes to be fraudulent activity. iflix is not obligated to credit or discount a membership for holds placed on the account by either a representative of iflix or by the automated processes of iflix.

Further to the impersonation issue and also in order to make it a breeze for you to access your account as well as to help administer the iflix service, iflix may implement technology that enables us to recognize you as the Account Owner and provide you with direct access to your account without requiring you to retype any password or other user identification when you revisit the iflix service, which may include accessing via iflix-approved devices or website. If you know or suspect that any third party knows your password or has accessed your account, you must promptly notify us at support@iflix.com.

You agree that you are solely responsible (to us and to others) for the activity that occurs under your account.

We reserve the right to disable your access to the iflix services, including your user account (if you have created one) at any time if in our reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these Terms. We also reserve the right to artificially manipulate a user’s visibility, status or rank on the Services. You may delete your account at any time.


8. Social Terms

You may choose to sign up for an iflix account using Facebook. To unlink your account from Facebook, please contact support@iflix.com. Please be aware that by choosing to connect your iflix account to social media sites, including Facebook or to use our social features, you are agreeing to these social terms (“Social Terms”) and are consenting to the collection, use and sharing of information about you with us and others, such as your name, location and contact information, birthdate, gender, and other information.


9. General Disclaimer of Warranties And Limitations.

Covering our butts: We are not perfect. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we endeavor to provide the best service we can. iflix and all content and software associated with the service, or any other features or functionalities associated with us, are provided “as is” with all faults and without warranty of any kind. There will be no guarantees to represent, or warrant that your use of iflix will be uninterrupted or error- free. iflix specifically disclaims liability for the use of applications, iflix-approved devices, and iflix software (including their continuing compatibility with our service). Phew!!

Where the Service contain links to other sites and resources provided by third parties, these links are provided for your information only. We have no control over the contents of those sites or resources. Such links should not be interpreted as approval by us of those linked websites or information you may obtain from them. You acknowledge that we have no obligation to pre-screen, monitor, review, or edit any content posted by you and other users on the iflix service, such as reviews or comments relating to service content.

To the extent permissible under applicable laws, in no event shall iflix, or its subsidiaries or any of their shareholders, directors, officers, employees or licensors be liable (jointly or severally) to you for personal injury or any special, incidental, indirect or consequential damages of any kind, or any damages whatsoever. In addition ,we shall not be liable to you for any loss or damage which may be incurred by you as a result of: (a) any reliance placed by you on the completeness, accuracy or existence of any advertising  (b) any changes which we may make to the services, or for any permanent or temporary cessation in the provision of the Services (or any features within the Services) (c) the deletion of, corruption of, or failure to store, any content and other communications data maintained or transmitted by or through your use of the Services (d) your failure to provide us with accurate account information (e ) your failure to keep your password or account details secure and confidential Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation or exclusion of liability for certain types of damages. Therefore, some of the above limitations in this section may not apply to you. In which case, you can ignore everything above, lucky you.

Nothing in these Agreements removes or limits iflix’s liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by its negligence. If any provision or provisions of these Terms of Use shall be held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. Some aspects of this section may not apply in some jurisdictions.



10. Promotions

From time to time, iflix may introduce special offers, rewards, vouchers, gift certificates, payment plans and Trial Memberships, which may be subject to specific terms and conditions. 11. Copyright Infringements

  1. Copyright. Iflix respects the rights of intellectual property owners. And in this case, OURS. The iflix service, including all content provided on the iflix service, and all iflix interfaces created for devices including text, graphics, logos, designs, photographs, button icons, images, audio/video clips, digital downloads, data compilations and software and its compilation is the property of iflix or its suppliers and is protected by copyright, trade secret or other intellectual property laws and treaties.
  2. Trademarks. iflix is a registered trademark of Image Future Malaysia SDN. BHD.
  3. Claims of Copyright Infringement. If for whatever reason you believe your work has been reproduced or distributed in a way that constitutes copyright infringement or are aware of any infringing material available through the iflix service, please notify us by sending an email to support@iflix.com.


12. How We Use The Information You Give Us

Bear with us, people, for what is about to happen to this Terms of Use is extremely uncomfortable for anyone who appreciates fun or finds no friends in too many words. But it’s important, so let’s buckle up and get through it as best we can. iflix is free as a bird to use anything you’ve submitted to us in the form of comments, complaints, compliments, reviews, information, ideas or techniques or any other material contained in any communication you may send to us (let’s call it “Feedback”), including responses to questionnaires or through postings to the iflix service, including the iflix website and user interfaces, worldwide and in perpetuity without further compensation, acknowledgement or payment to you for any purpose whatsoever including, but not limited to, developing, manufacturing and marketing products and creating, modifying or improving the iflix service. In addition, you agree not to enforce any “moral rights” in and to the Feedback, to the extent permitted by applicable law. You should, however, have the right morals, lest your parents be ashamed. Please note iflix does not accept unsolicited materials or ideas for any content whatsoever, and is not responsible for the similarity of any of its content or programming in any media to materials or ideas transmitted to iflix. Should you send any unsolicited materials or ideas, you do so with the understanding that no additional consideration of any sort will be provided to you, and you are waiving any claim against iflix and its affiliates regarding the use of such materials and ideas, even if material or an idea is used that is substantially similar to the material or idea you sent.

And that, thankfully, is that.


13. Choice of Law

These Terms, their subject matter and their formation, are governed by the laws of Hong Kong. Any dispute, controversy, difference or claim arising out of or relating to this Agreement, including the existence, validity, interpretation, performance, breach or termination thereof or any dispute regarding non-contractual obligations arising out of or relating to it shall first be subject to good faith discussion between the parties. In the event the parties are unable to resolve such issue, either party may refer the dispute to and such dispute shall be finally resolved by arbitration administered by the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (“HKIAC”) under the HKIAC Administered Arbitration Rules in force when the Notice of Arbitration is submitted. The seat of arbitration shall be Hong Kong. The number of arbitrators shall be three. The arbitration proceedings shall be conducted in English. The language of the arbitration shall be English.

Being supportive to our Customers is very important to us. If you need help with your account or anything iflix related, please email support@iflix.com. In case there are any conflicts arising from miscommunications between these Terms of Use and information provided by Customer Support or other portions of our website, these Terms of Use will reign supreme. Our Customer Support team is like a wily aunt with all the answers and none of the awkward judgment. Feel free to say hi to them at any time.


15. Links

Some of the hyperlinks provided through the iflix service may lead to other websites or interfaces that are not controlled by or affiliated with iflix. In general, that’s what hyperlinks do. It is a rabbit hole. In addition, other websites or interfaces may link to the iflix service, and for that we thank them. But iflix has not reviewed such websites or interfaces and is not responsible for their content or privacy policies.


16. Security

We do not guarantee that our Service will be secure or free from bugs or viruses. You are responsible for configuring your information technology, computer programmes and platform to access our Platform. You should use your own virus protection software.


17. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Use constitute all the terms and conditions agreed upon between you and iflix and supersede any prior agreements in relation to the subject matter of these Terms of Use, whether written or oral. Your preference may be for oral and that’s fine. We understand that preference oh so well. Save as mutually agreed by the parties, any additional or different terms or conditions in relation to the subject matter of the Terms of Use in any written or oral communication from you to iflix are void. You represent that you have not accepted the Terms of Use in reliance on any oral or written representations made by iflix that are not contained in the Agreements.

Please note, however, that other aspects of your use of the iflix service may be governed by additional agreements.

Occasionally we may offer you the chance to participate in sweepstakes. We believe they come from the 80s. We may also offer you the chance to participate in contests, and surveys (“Special Promotions”) through the iflix service. Special Promotions may be governed by terms and conditions that are separate from these Terms. If the provisions of a Special Promotion’s terms and conditions conflict with these Terms, those separate terms and conditions shall prevail.


18. Severability

Should any provision of the Terms be held invalid or unenforceable for any reason or to any extent, such invalidity or enforceability shall not in any manner affect or render the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions that shall remain in full force and effect. And you thought severability involved a mountaineer, a canyon in Utah, 127 hours and a pocketknife.

In addition to terms and conditions in the section 6 above, a user of the Services may not import, disseminate or forward the following computer data in or from a computer system into the Platform:

  • forged or deceptive data that may cause damage to the public, and is not a defamation offense under the Thai Criminal Code;
  • false data that may cause damage to the public (g., public security, national economic, public infrastructure);
  • data related to an offence concerning the Thailand’s security or terrorism under the Thai Criminal Code, including but not limited to lèse-majesté offence; and
  • making obscene data available to the public.

The Platform is only for people 20 years old and over, unless you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.



If you are using our iflix services in the Philippines, the following additional terms apply. In the event of any conflict between the following additional terms and the provisions of the main body of these Terms, the following terms shall prevail.

In addition to the terms and conditions in the section 6 above, a user of the Services may not import, upload, download, disseminate, forward, publish, copy or reproduce the following computer data in or from a computer system into the Platform:

(a)      Which may provoke or expose the Philippines, its government and/or its citizens to reprisals on their persons or property, or which tend to incite rebellion, insurrection, coup d’etat, or sedition against the Philippine government;

(b)      Which tends to injure the image and prestige of the Philippines and its people, or which undermines the public’s regard for government, law and duly constituted authorities, or which contains messages that deride or otherwise discredit the law and its enforcement;

(c)      Which contain acts of profanity, obscenity, vulgarity or those that are offensive or indecent, such as, but not limited to, indecent exposure of the human body or any of its parts, solicitations for sex, child pornography as defined under Republic Act No. 9775 or the Anti-Child Pornography Act of 2009, photos or videos obtained in violation of the Republic Act No. 9995 or the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009, and the like;

(d)      Which employ child models in advertisements promoting alcoholic beverages, intoxicating drinks, tobacco and its byproducts, and violence;

(e)      Which condone, incite/encourage violence, crime, or other unlawful acts;

(f)      Which constitutes a deceptive sales act or practice under Article 50 of Republic Act No. 9748 or the Consumer Act of the Philippines;

(g)      Which uses the Philippine Flag or Seal as part of any advertisement or infomercial, or which misuses the Red Cross, Red Crescent, Red Crystal emblems, their words or translations;

(h)      False, deceptive, misleading data, or data which may be considered libelous;

(i)       Which contains any advertisements for tobacco products; and

(j)       Which are contrary to law, morals, good customs, public policy or public order.


No Children. iflix services is only for people 18 years old and over (except otherwise specified in the Jurisdiction Specific Supplemental Terms below), unless they have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By agreeing to this Terms of Use and the Jurisdiction Specific Supplemental Terms below, you confirm and warrant that you are 18 years old or above. If we learn that someone under the relevant age specified above is using the Platform, we will terminate that user’s account. In addition, if you are under the relevant age specified above, you confirm and warrant that you possess legal parental or guardian consent for accessing or using the Platform, and are fully able and competent to enter into, abide by, and comply with the Terms. We shall not be liable for any misrepresentations made by you in relation to this matter.



If you use or access of the iflix services from within Republic of Indonesia, then the following supplemental terms are incorporated into the Terms by reference and shall apply and shall override any conflicting provisions in the rest of the Terms:

  • Governing Language. This Terms may be made in English and Indonesian language versions. In the event of any contradiction between the English and Indonesian language versions, the English language version shall prevail.
  • Parental and Guardian Consent. If you are under the age of 21, you hereby represent that you had the consent of your parent or legal guardian to access the Services or to register for an account on the Services.
  • Content Restriction. Based on the information that you provided to us, we may implement certain restriction to access contents based on age classification.
  • Change, Amendment, and Supplemental of the Terms. In the event we amend these Terms, or change the applicable subscription fee and/or charges, we will provide a notification to you regarding the effective date of the changes at the latest 14 (fourteen) calendar days prior the effective date, through (i) a notice to be posted on the pop-up notification or the flash screen of our mobile; or (ii) the contact information you provided to us; or (iii) any other communication methods that are available. If you fail to explicitly express your objection to the amended Terms or the applicable subscription fee and/or charges within the above advance notification period, you will be considered as accepting the changes, therefore you will be considered to have agreed to the new Terms or the applicable subscription fee and/or charges. However, you may stop using or accessing or subscribing or uninstalling the application for the Services at any time.
  • For the purpose of termination and/or dissolution and/or rescission of the Terms, we and you hereby waive the applicability of the provisions under Article 1266 of the Indonesian Civil Code, to the extent that the court order and/or decision would otherwise be required to validly terminate and/or dissolve and/or rescind the Terms.





Here comes a really long sentence masquerading as a paragraph. We hope you’re ready for more of this. Aah, the joys of being an End User. By downloading and/or using any software and/or applications (collectively, “Software”) provided to you by or on behalf of Image Future Malaysia SDN. BHD.. and its affiliated entities (“iflix”), in connection with your use of the iflix service, you acknowledge and agree that (1) you have read this end user license agreement (“License Agreement”); (2) you understand it; (3) you are bound by the terms of this license agreement just like Anastasia Steele; and (4) you may receive, without further notice or prompting updated versions of the Software, or in other words, we may well go ninja on you when needs be. If you do not agree to the foregoing, we cannot simply “agree to disagree” as your disagreement basically means that you do not have a license to, and you will not use, the Software which will then not lead to 500 Days of iflix.


  1. License Lowdown

This EULA (End User License Agreement) contains many, many legal terms that a normal human being usually ignores and details on your limited (that’s right, limited #SorryNotSorry) right and license to use the Software solely in connection with your use of the iflix service. This License Agreement is between you and iflix and not any other party. Especially not the party in your pants that no one RSVPed to


To put it in layman terms, using the service will be very much like renting an apartment, though it’s more of a sub-let, really. The Software contains material that is protected by copyright and other applicable prevailing magical force and intellectual property laws in the region and by international treaty provisions. The Software is licensed, not sold or given as a coming-of-age present, to you by iflix for use only under the terms of this License Agreement. All rights not specifically granted to you herein are reserved to iflix and to any third party with ownership rights in software and documentation used in the Software. So lifting/ripping/stealing content from the site won’t fly because you aren’t supposed to take things that don’t belong to you, OK? Make your mama proud!


In your limited license given under these terms, will include any software upgrades that replace and/or supplement the original Software. The Ninja part we talked about earlier? That applies here to.


Sometimes, in the dead of the night, when everyone is fast asleep and dreaming of George Clooney/Kate Upton riding a Unicorn, we might make changes to stuff. iflix reserves the right, when needed, with or without notice to you, to change the terms of this License Agreement in our sole and absolute discretion. We do it swiftly, quietly, but most importantly, for the greater good. Should you still be reading this painfully long, highly detailed License Agreement, it’s good to know that in the event of such changes, the most current version of this License Agreement will reign supreme to all previous versions. We strongly recommend that you review the License Agreement from time to time.


  1. What’s OK To Use/What’s Not OK To Use

2.1 Allowance of Limited License. iflix gives/grants you three wishes! No, not really. But we do grant you (which, for purposes of this License Agreement, shall include members of your immediate household, the ones you like or the ones you don’t, for whom you will be responsible for hence with and users of the iflix-approved device with which you are accessing the iflix service and for whom you will also be responsible for) a non-exclusive, limited, personal and nontransferable license, subject to and conditioned on your compliance with the actually-not-so-restrictive restrictions set forth in this License Agreement, to install and use the Software, in object code form only, provided to you by or on behalf of iflix in connection with your iflix playtime.


2.2 Please keep in mind that The Software is only for your own personal enjoyment and non-commercial use. It is a Software that will bring you and subsequently, your Hardware much joy and happiness and may not to be abused operationally for business of any kind, for profit or for the benefit or any other person or entity. Please do not start an iflix Cinema operating out of your musky basement, however appealing that business plan might sound right now. Even if you call it the “iflix Musky Basement Cinema, brought to you by iflix”, it’s still not OK.


2.3 The license permission above includes the right to use documentation accompanying the Software for the sole purpose of using the iflix service and the right to make one (1) backup copy of the Software so you can “back up on it”, provided that (i) the Software is installed on only the number of iflix-approved devices authorized by iflix (which number shall be five (5) iflix-approved devices unless otherwise agreed or modified in writing by iflix); (ii) the Software may NOT be modified, Captain Hacker; (iii) all copyright notices are maintained on the Software; and (iv) you agree to be bound by all the terms of this License Agreement.


2.4 Part of your limited license for the Software granted to you in this License Agreement, except as and only to the extent expressly permitted in this License Agreement or by applicable law, which cannot be waived by this License Agreement, includes a variety of things that you may not do which are:


share, broadcast, parade, rent, lease, pimp, modify, makeover, makeunder, loan, distribute or create derivative works based on the Software or any part of it;

duplicate, decompile, deflower, reverse engineer, disassemble, translate, adapt, adopt or otherwise reduce the Software to human readable form, though in limited circumstances, alien readable form may be acceptable as we come in peace;

try to create the source code from the object code of the Software;

spread or make the Software available over a network where it could be used by multiple computers or iflix-approved devices at the same time;

nourish and grow any third-party software contained in the Software a standalone product (the Software is always the stronger fetus);

become an action hero by taking any actions that will infringe on the intellectual property or other proprietary rights of iflix or any third party software provider;

make rent on top of your renting i.e. sublicense or assign the Software;

watch any TV shows & movies provided by iflix or its external suppliers anywhere other than within the country or location allowed by iflix (“Territory”); and

attempt to immediately watch movies & TV shows outside of the Territory, and iflix will be forced to bring on our super scary technologies to verify your obedience. You will obey.

2.5 You don’t own any of this so…No ownership rights for you. Unfortunate, but true. Rather, you have a limited license to use the Software as long as this License Agreement remains in effect. Ownership of the Software and all intellectual property rights therein shall remain at all times with iflix and/or its licensors. Any other use of the Software by any other person, pets, business, corporation, government or any other entity (whether living or dead) is strictly prohibited and is a violation of this License Agreement. Please don’t violate it. Things get pretty messy when violations happen.


2.6 If you “uninstall” the Software, you will no longer be able to play with us or use the Software to watch things on that iflix-approved device. Amazingly, this may come as a shock to some. Bless them.


  1. Content and Software of The Third Party Kind

3.1 We have content. Truckloads of it. But title and intellectual property rights in and to any content displayed by or accessed through the Software does not belong even to us, the mighty iflix but belongs to the respective content owner. Everything is protected by copyright or other intellectual property laws and treaties, and is subject to terms of use of the third party providing such content. It’s all standard issue, really. And apart from fighting for your right to party and view the content, this License Agreement does not grant you the right to duplicate, distribute, prepare imitative knock-offs, publicly show, or make other use of such content. You are prohibited from engaging in or facilitating the unauthorized P2P (that’s not R2D2’s distant cousin, twice removed) file-sharing of third-party content, such as the unauthorized posting, making available, uploading, downloading or other distribution of such third-party content.


3.2 In making something this awesome, there will be software programs contained within the Software that have been licensed to iflix by third parties. It’s a collaborative effort of software awesomeness that goes deep and wide. The term “Software” as used here shall refer to such third party software except where the term Software refers expressly to the ownership or other specific rights of iflix. Everything you’ve read so far, with regards to terms and conditions, including all limitations and restrictions, set forth in this License Agreement apply to each third party software program contained in the Software. And on top of that, certain software programs specified in the licenses referenced in Section 10 (“Notices”) below may also have additional grants and/or restrictions. Read on for more delightful legal terms and nod along in time.


  1. Termination

Everything (including this License Agreement) stands until you cease being an iflix member. Your rights under this License Agreement can come to an end at any time without notice by iflix. On top of that, this License Agreement will terminate if iflix finds that you have violated any of the terms of this License Agreement. Don’t do that. Zero forgiveness and absolutely no waiver of any breach of any provision of this License Agreement by iflix shall constitute a waiver of any prior, concurrent or subsequent breach of the same or any other provisions hereof, and no waiver shall be effective unless it is made in writing and is signed by an authorized representative of iflix. All provisions relating to confidentiality, proprietary rights, and nondisclosure shall survive the termination of this License Agreement. Survival of a zombie apocalypse on the other hand, cannot be guaranteed.


Your ability to use the iflix service is subject to your system compatibility with our Software as such requirements may change from time to time. Kinda like a relationship. If it’s not compatible, it just won’t work. Compatibility of system requirements with the Software is your responsibility. Only use Internet Explorer if you don’t like the Internet.


Once you’ve decided to end this License Agreement, you must immediately stop using the Software and iflix service and destroy all copies, full or partial, of the Software that you may have downloaded hereunder. Like a juice cleanse in binary form.


  1. Data Usage Permission

Without sounding sneaky or anything of the sort, the Software may provide iflix with limited access to your iflix-approved device. Things like information related to your use of the iflix service, including TV Shows & movies (and parts of it) viewed, amount of times any street cred-damaging movies were viewed, information regarding your computer system, such as a unique device identifier, your operating system, your wallpaper of cute kittens, existing software, amount of available storage space and Internet connectivity, and your interaction with the Software. This basically means that we study you, learn your every move, your likes, your dislikes, in order to serve you better. But worry not. Information obtained by iflix will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We will not abuse this, promise! All of it goes to help you use the Software more effectively, help us help you help iflix and improve the service so that everyone wins.


  1. Upgrading the Software

iflix may issue you an upgraded version of the Software automatically upon an instance of your use of the Software or the iflix service or otherwise in connection with your use of the iflix-approved device. Alternatively, iflix may require you to consent to an upgrade to the Software (“Software Upgrades”) before using, installing or accessing the Software. This is for your own benefit. If you decline the Software Upgrades, you may not be able to use or access the Software or the iflix service which would suck.


Your ability to use the iflix service is subject to your system compatibility with our Software as such requirements may change from time to time. Kinda like a relationship. If it’s not compatible, it just won’t work. Compatibility of system requirements with the Software is your responsibility. Only use Internet Explorer if you don’t like the Internet.


  1. General Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitations

Take it, and go. The Software is provided “AS IS.” Meaning, it is what it is. The Disclaimers of Warranties and Limitations stated in the Terms of Use explicitly applies to this License Agreement, the Software and the use of the Software. We do not justify that defects in the Software will be corrected but we’ll try our best.


10.1 Apple


Fun fact: May help reduce the risk of cancer, cardiovascular disease and diabetes. High in fiber and vitamin C, low in calories, with no fat or cholesterol! But in this instance, Apple refers to more of the Steve Jobs variety. If you have downloaded any Software from the Apple iTunes Application Store, all of the below mentioned terms will also apply to such Software:


You agree and acknowledge that Apple is not responsible for the Software and its content or responsible for your daily vitamin intake. You also agree that your use of such Software downloaded from such location is limited to a non-transferable license to use the Software on any Apple branded products running iOS (including but not limited to iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch) (“iOS Devices”) or Mac OS X (“Mac Computers”), as applicable (collectively “Apple Device(s)”) that you own or control and as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the App Store Terms of Service. Furthermore, we’d like to inform you and subsequently you acknowledge and agree that Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the Software. So please don’t go bugging their Customer Care for any iflix issues. Do contact our very caring Customer Care, comprised of many Spanish speakers, for help with problemas de iflix.


There will be no warranty obligation from the good people of Apple with respect to the Software and any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty set forth in this License Agreement is the responsibility of iflix. Please note that iflix has disclaimed all warranties (see section above).


There will be no responsibility for addressing any claims relating to the Software or your possession and/or use of the Software, including, but not restricted to: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the Software fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.


Apple is not responsible for any third-party infringement claims that the Software or your possession and use of the Software infringe a third party’s intellectual property rights.


Basically, Apple is not responsible. End.


Third Party Beneficiary: iflix and you acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple’s subsidiaries, are third party beneficiaries of this License Agreement with respect to any such Software, and that Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce the License Agreement against you as a third party beneficiary thereof as set forth herein. Where this ends up is Apple has nothing to do with any issues that may arise while using iflix on any of their devices, and no matter how bad your tantrum, they won’t have to respond to you. Let it go. The cold is no bother.


10.2 Digital Rights Management


Content owners use Microsoft PlayReady™ content access technology to protect their intellectual property, including copyrighted content. Certain iflix-approved devices and personal computers use PlayReady technology to access PlayReady-protected content and/or WMDRM-protected content. If the device fails to properly enforce restrictions on content usage, content owners may require Microsoft to revoke the device’s ability to consume PlayReady-protected content. Revocation should not affect unprotected content or content protected by other content access technologies. Content owners may require you to upgrade PlayReady to access their content. If you decline a PlayReady upgrade, you will not be able to access content that requires the upgrade, which means there will be no iflix on any of your devices. A disaster by any other name.


Action (or is that inaction?) taken in connection with the above may affect your ability to function in life and use the iflix service and/or view and access movies & TV shows.

If there’s one thing we really believe in, it’s protection. This right here, is ours © 2020 iflix All content here is protected by copyright and other applicable intellectual property laws in the region and other territories and may not be modified, copied or used in any manner without the express permission of iflix, which reserves all rights. So if you had any intentions of outright plagiarizing iflix, do send us a letter first. Ask really nicely. And we will still probably say no, but you never know. Reuse of any of this content for any purpose without the permission of iflix. is strictly prohibited. We wont be pleased.


10.4 Facebook


You agree and acknowledge that Facebook has been ruining personal relationships since 2004 and holds no responsibility or liability over that or for the Software and its content.


10.5 Microsoft – General


Microsoft – General? “But what about Microsoft – Lieutenant or Microsoft – Major?” you ask Well, they’re not important. What’s important is that this product contains technology subject to certain intellectual property rights of Microsoft. Use or distribution of this technology outside of this product is prohibited without the appropriate license(s) from Microsoft.

The Lowdown

Now that you have the lowdown on iflix’s terms of use you know that you need to provide iflix with a current, valid, accepted method of payment (as may be updated from time to time, “Payment Method”) to use the iflix service.

From time to time, iflix or iflix together with one of our special third-party partners may introduce vouchers which can be used as a form of Payment Method (“Vouchers”). If you get your hands on one of these that would please us greatly but before you begin to use a Voucher listen up to these terms of use which governs your use of Vouchers as a Payment Method.

By using a Voucher, you accept the following terms and conditions.

  1. Redemption

Vouchers can be obtained through partner offers, retailer shops, or via online purchase (e-commerce).

A Voucher can be made available in the form of a digital code, pin on receipt (POS) or a physical gift card with a unique Voucher redemption number.

Vouchers are available for a variety of subscription periods – 1 month, 3 months or 12 months subscription to the iflix service – (the “Voucher Value”).

Here is a step by step description of how to redeem your Voucher:

  1. Limitations

Vouchers cannot be reloaded, resold, transferred for value or redeemed for cash.

You are not able to combine promotions, discounts, deals or Vouchers on one subscription order. If you have more than one Voucher, redeem your Vouchers one by one.

Vouchers may only be redeemed via the iflix app or the iflix service and in the country where the Voucher was made available in and in the currency that the Voucher Value is loaded with.

You may gift your Voucher to friends, family, teachers but subject always to these Voucher terms of use.

Your Voucher will expire on the expiry date indicated on the Voucher. If you do not redeem or activate the Voucher before close of business of this expiry date the Voucher will expire and no longer be of validity. Expiry dates will vary from Voucher to Voucher. Expiry dates cannot be extended. Please make sure you check the expiry date of your Voucher.

Additional terms of use or applicability may apply dependent on the circumstances under which you acquired a Voucher for example you may only be applicable to use a Voucher if you purchase a certain product from one of our special third-party partners subject to the promotion terms of that third party partner or a promo code may only be valid for selected customers of our third party partners’ who redeem the Voucher.

We are not responsible if your Voucher is lost, stolen, destroyed or used without your permission and the risk of loss and title passes to you upon your receipt of a Voucher.
